In the unfoldment of every life, the entity’s consciousness becomes conditioned by experiences that determine the activated vibrational frequencies (called gunas in yogic terminology) powering the existential decisions, behaviors, and their underlying psychic structures. These subtle fixations limit the possibilities of thought, feeling, and capacity for response to novel events. Those who become aware of these internal limitations and recognize that it is in their interests to remove those limitations, in order to live in higher levels of intelligence and greater freedom of action, will voluntarily enter into a process of self-transformation and transcendence of the gunas. This is the essential purpose of Sat Yoga.
